About Reyner Ministries
Our focus
Pastor Stephen & Cindy serve historic River of Life Free Methodist Church in Saranac, MI, with its lovely 151-year old Sanctuary. Having served growing churches across the Midwest, the East and the South - with serving a large urban focus (downtown Detroit), in Capital cities (Des Moines, IA and Lansing, MI), in small cities (Gainesville, GA) as well as in small towns and true rural settings - they bring creativity, heart and soul to the work. Cindy leads women's and children's art classes and summer ART CAMPS. Pastor Stephen has studied theology at the University of Cambridge, England, in Chicago graduate schools, as well as in Costa Rica and Israel, and brings a global mindset to the pulpit. Thankful indeed for God's call in Christ, they invite you to join us for to engage God's spiritual presence and good news in Jesus!
Art Camps
Director & Lead Teacher, Cindy Reyner, BFA
Creating Art Camps at Ironia FMC in northern New Jersey in 2011, Cindy brought together local women and experts to teach drawing, painting, art history, photography and edible art to kids of all ages! God blessed the camps with grace, joy and excitement for all. The camps led to a group of teachers going with Cindy to Madrid, Spain in 2013 to put on a one-week ART CAMP at the Free Methodist Church and local city park there. Wow! She has since led Art Camps in FL that reached many un-churched kids, youth and young adults to create fantastic art and to be celebrated and honored by the Church there. Look for ART CAMPS in Saranac, Michigan next summer!
Winter Weekends
Always a joy and an intensely wonderful trip, Pastor & Cindy led 'Winter Weekend' Ski and Mission Trips to WI and MI from IL and KY several winters from '03-'10. Combining the experience of serving meals at a homeless shelter with great skiing and upbeat camp-ground Worship services, the trips were a great inspiration to many lives for faith, safe winter fun, camaraderie and sport. (Tubing was available for those not wanting to walk on slippery sticks!) Funds were raised with spaghetti dinners at the Churches prior, so trips could be offered to those unable to pay. The Lord always blessed the exciting endeavors!
